Over 1/3 of American houses no longer have landlines at all! Yet, a recent study by the Pew Research Center has recently discovered that Americans are still tied to these older phones while at the workplace. There are many options when it comes to real estate phone systems.
I’m going to show you the way I’ve made my communication better. It’s called RingCentral. It saved me over 50% on my office phone bill and put all my communication (except email) in one place.

With complicated office schedules and a multitude of options out there, Realtors have many options to consider when it comes to answers phones. The study by Pew found that American place the most importance on email for communication. There were 60% of people ranked email very important compared to only 35% who described landlines the same way.
Meanwhile, cellphones lagged behind all these options with a 24% ranking.
For Realtors, the answer really isn’t up to us. It’s up to our clients. We have to be available how they want us to be available. The best way I’ve found to do this is with Ringcentral. There are many other services other there (Grasshopper, Skype) but they didn’t quite work for me.
During my free trial with Ringcentral, I found out how easy it was to have my: phone calls, text messages, faxes, digital documents, voicemails, video meetings, ect on all my devices. Their ‘cloud phone’ system worked with my iPad, iPhone, tablet, and computer. Plus, I got to keep my landline desk phone.
Of course, these features are more useful if you’re in the field or traveling as much as I am. But check it out. It’s free and you might find yourself just a bit more productive because of it. Their system works great with everything from prospecting FSBO to regular office calls.
In 2015, change is finally hitting the traditional landline. Comment below and let me know what you use for your phone service. How do you bridge the communication gap between landline, cellphone, text, and more? What do you find most useful?

But, when you consider how few agents specialize in probate real estate leads, and how much money is on the table, you may quickly get over that slimy feeling. Somebody will list these homes, right? And most of the time, it’s an agent who just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Not an expert on probate...

If you think you must be the world’s biggest slime to lose your real estate license, think again. A word or phrase inadvertently used in a property marketing piece, a lack of care with other people’s money, or a brain fart that causes you to leave out a material fact about a listing could land you in deep doo-doo with the real estate powers-that-be. Although each state’s licensing board sets its own rules with regard to licensees, they are pretty similar. Think it can’t happen to you? In 2010, 866 agents in California had their licenses suspended, revoked or willingly...
