What a strange time to be a real estate agent. If you're caught in a slump, here are some motivational real estate videos you can use to give yourself a boost.

Wow – what a strange time to be a real estate agent. Having to learn, on the fly, a whole new way to run your business during the lockdown couldn’t have been fun.

The uncertainty of not knowing when you’d be allowed to “re-open” had to be stressful. Although we’re still not out of the woods when it comes to COVID-19, restrictions are much more relaxed now than they were over the past few months.

Often, after a period of inactivity, it’s hard to get your groove back. And, re-entering a housing market with a smaller inventory than we experienced before the crisis offers plenty of excuses to slide into a real estate slump.

Yes, it’s hard to remain inspired right now, but we may have a solution for you in the form of Ted Talks and motivational real estate videos to help you get your mojo back.

We mentioned this brilliant Ted Talk in our recent piece for new agents on rejection in real estate. It certainly merits another mention here.

When you’re “shooting for a goal,” all the tasks that others in real estate find onerous – the cold calls, the door knocking the relentless need to generate leads – are easier because they’re steps toward your goal.

Les Brown, “Push Yourself Today”

Brown nails the concept of being stuck when he quotes basketball Isaiah Thomas, during a pre-game conversation with team members:
“I’m either gonna shoot us in or shoot us out. But I’m not going to not do anything.”

Brown expands on the thought by reminding us that we can’t make a basket unless we shoot the ball, “you can’t hit a homerun unless you take a swing at it.”
