You’ve noticed it, right? At this point in the COVID-19 lockdown, folks are taking up gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, and even raising chickens.
Learning a new skill or brushing up on an old one helps keep our minds and our hands occupied when we have an abundance of time.
The same holds true for real estate agents that we’ve spoken with. While most are still working, many have made changes to their marketing plans and farming seems to be one of the more popular vehicles.
That makes sense when we consider that most hot leads are now sort of lukewarm. The urgency to buy or sell for many is gone, or at least on hold.
The name of the game right now is “treading water,” and one of the most effective ways to stay afloat is by choosing a farm area and sending direct mail, consistently.
To help you out, we’ve rounded up some of the industry’s best real estate postcard companies.
A business’ name recognition didn’t factor into our decision to include them on the list. A very well-known company, in fact, has such poor reviews, both at Yelp and the Better Business Bureau, that we couldn’t, in good conscience, include them here.

Disclosure: I write content for Prospects Plus.
It was Lisa Gray, Director of Marketing at Prospects Plus! who let us know just how wildly popular real estate postcards are becoming during the pandemic.
Most agents who have been in the business for more than a minute are familiar with the company. If not, read on.
Based in Bradenton, Florida, Prospects PLUS, INC. offers direct response marketing materials to the real estate industry.
It was founded in 1998 by Jim Morton, the company’s current president. “We are a provider of web-to-print direct mail systems, small and large postcards, door hangers, folders, tri-fold brochures, just-listed announcements, branded sales advice articles, in-house printing, laminating, and fulfillment services,” they boast on their website.
Mailing lists are among their more popular products along with the stuff to mail. The lists can be laser-targeted to the agent’s chosen audience.
Right now, however, their COVID-19 series of mailers is in demand. “Really impressed with the covid-19 postcards,” raves an agent on Prospect Plus’ Facebook feed. “Am seriously considering a jumbo postcard mailing to generate listings. This company has stayed relevant through all the changes in the market over the years!! Great job!!”
Prospects Plus was chosen “Best Overall” by FitSmall.Business.com on its 6 Best Real Estate Direct Mail Services list in 2018.
Finally, aside from the brilliant marketing materials offered by Prospects Plus, we like knowing that our marketing dollars help in the company’s annual goal to raise $50,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Find them online at ProspectsPlus.com and follow them on Facebook.
Based in Austin, Texas, Quantum Digital was named among Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Founded in 1986, they know a thing or two about direct mail marketing.
Automated marketing is a popular feature offered by the company, with AutoMail for farming and client follow-up real estate postcards and TriggerMarketing for just-listed/sold cards.
Customers have the option of uploading their own designs or using the company’s free templates and customize them to your brand.
You are also able to use your own mailing list or mail from Quantum Digital’s list.
In the end, the company prints and then mails the cards to everyone on your list.
Customers rave about the platform’s ease of use and that the service is “cost-effective and fast.”
We couldn’t find any examples of pre-designed real estate postcards on the company’s website, nor does it appear they are offering any pandemic-related cards.
Check them out for yourself online at QuantumDigital.com and follow them on Facebook.
The first thing we looked for when perusing the real estate postcards companies’ websites was whether or not they are offering products that acknowledge we are in a pandemic and how real estate agents can help.
REA Mark is among those offering products centered on this timely topic. We love the “Keep Busy” card, but there are others from which to choose.
Additional services the company provides include:
If you’re on a tight budget, check out their specials listed in the left sidebar on their website.
The folks at realtrends.com are about to release their annual real estate website builder rankings. Those rankings, regardless of the company compiling them, are always a fun read. Realtrend’s criteria for a kick-hiney real estate website includes “best design.” In fact, they’re looking for “show-stopping websites.” Not the “best-designed website to increase organic SEO.” Not the “best-designed to capture leads.” Nope. It’s the prettiness factor that proves a real estate website builder “… has what it takes.” We beg to differ with them. Pretty is as pretty does and the “best” real estate websites actually work for their agent-owners. They...

Is your email box filling up with real estate holiday greetings? They started rolling into mine at Thanksgiving but I just got around to reading them. One stood out among all the others. I’ve awarded it the prize for The Worst Real Estate Email Ever. Take a look and see if you see what I see. Naturally, the agent’s name and brokerage have been changed. Believe it or not, it came from a highly-regarded (at least in the industry) East coast agent. I’ve interviewed her in the past and she is absolutely captivating. Not only that, past clients in her...

Don’t let anyone tell you that “this is not your father’s real estate industry,” because, apparently, it is. It’s nearly 2019 and the most-searched term on Google by real estate agents is NOT how to use artificial intelligence to generate leads or anything else that reflects modern tech use in the industry. Nope, agents are searching for information on real estate slogans and taglines. Sure, the name of the real estate marketing game in most markets is to differentiate yourself from the competition. But … really … real estate slogans? We get it, it’s tough to break away from the...
