There is a fundamental principle in business that holds true to this very day.
Location, Location, LOCATION.
Today the location is online, so the presence and content you’re placing and managing online determines your success.
If you lack the ability to put your site, blog, or your video in front of the right audience you won’t see the type of success you’re looking for.
But how do you make sure you’re getting your content in front of the right people?
Well, after you create your content you have to schedule it and post it and interact with your audience and that can all seem like a bit much.
However, there are tools available to you that will make everything much more manageable for you so you can spend more time actually running your business.
Here are the top 5 apps every modern agent needs to successfully run their business online.
Pages is probably the most essential app you should have in your arsenal when it comes to managing Facebook.
Facebook is the most important location for you to be posting blog content, sharing your videos, and advertising your website.
Let me explain why the pages app will make a world of difference for you in managing your Facebook presence.
The pages app gives you access to everything you could possibly need when it comes to managing your Facebook presence in one dashboard.
How awesome is that?
I use this app every single day to answer messages respond to comments monitor the performance of our boosted posts and even schedule future posts.
Literally, if your goal was to manage everything on your Facebook page from the Facebook app and Pages you could probably do it.
Many of you have been looking for a solution to make connecting with Facebook as easy as possible, which prompts you to use the social share Icons on your site.
Which is great for your users to be using but it doesn’t give you the type of control you should have over managing content on your Facebook page.
The Pages app will connect the gap between posting content to your site and posting content on your page. Facebook has a number of application you can use on your smartphone.
I would suggest starting with Pages first since it’s the foundational app in terms of managing Facebook.
This app is amazing.
We’ve been pushing you all towards video because it’s without a doubt the future of marketing.
That push we’ve been trying to make has been met with some skepticism due to concern over how difficult it is to get good videos up online.
If you aren’t an experienced pro using Adobe studios there’s no reason to start editing video right? That might have been a somewhat valid argument before I found this app.
You now have the ability to edit the footage you film with your phone, add background music and export your file straight to any social network all from the comfort of your smartphone!
No new editing software to learn, no transferring files needed it’s that simple.
Take the footage you want from your phone, open the app, select the footage and the app takes care of the rest.
I was incredibly skeptical before downloading this app, but after having played with it for a few weeks I couldn’t be more satisfied.
Not only does this app let you create and edit quality videos to upload, but it will auto generate videos for you at the end of every week.
It creates “video memories every week using footage you’ve filmed on your phone throughout the given time period.
It’s obviously not something you have to use but it’s pretty great knowing if you forget to throw something together it’ll take care of it for you.
All you have to do is make sure you turn on the weekly video feature! If you forget to do so you’ll miss out on that awesome feature.
Next we have PicsArt and I actually mentioned this app in last week’s “Instagram For Agents” video and I thought it certainly deserved a place here on the top 5 essentials list.
If I’m in a bind and I can’t get to my desktop to load up InDesign or Photoshop I turn to my PicsArt mobile app.
This thing packs a ton of functionality into a straightforward mobile interface.
With features that are beginner friendly up to more advanced photo editing features for seasoned pros.
Much like the Quik app all you have to do is select the photo you’d like to edit from your camera roll and PicsArt will load up all your tools at the bottom of your screen.
It might honestly look a little daunting at first with the amount of options you actually have.
For the simple purpose of making crisp and appealing images you could honestly just adjust everything you need in just the tools section.
I highly doubt you’ll ever need to move into any of the more advanced functions of this app.
All the standard elements of the photo you’d want to edit can be found right below.
When you’re just starting out with this app stay in this section to make your life a whole heck of a lot easier.
I’m against automation on a number of things but buffer works perfectly for composing unique messages and scheduling them when you have the time.
Posting at the perfect time everyday is near impossible without some type of scheduling help.
Also some social networks still haven’t opened up the ability to schedule on their platforms.
Facebook and Youtube now have scheduling capability but networks like Twitter and Instagram are still withholding that feature.
To get started, sign up for your free account then load up the app and open up the settings in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
From there you can connect to any of the social networks you plan on using this app with.
Once that’s done you can select compose an update and post to all your connected social networks simultaneously!
It’s really that easy, type your message schedule it or publish it to every account immediately.
Also add photo or video to your posts all from this one convenient app.
Ever wonder how we illustrate our screen shots so well?
This app is responsible for that. If you’ve read any of Tyler’s or Paula’s blogs or watched my videos, this is how we create all the images with arrows and boxes of text.
It’s incredibly easy and it’s available for both desktop and mobile.
Heck, the images you see in this blog were created using the mobile version of Skitch.
Everything you need to create well illustrated graphics right in the palm of your hand.
Much like the other apps I covered in the list you can share your images straight to any social network once you’re done illustrating it.
I hope you all found this list helpful if you have any questions feel free to tweet me with question or shoot me an email.
These apps will simplify the way you market your business and change the way you generate leads!
