Did you know there are over 1,000,000 website pages published every single day? That’s a lot of competition. These four tips will expose what you have to do to succeed online as a Realtor these days. Why? Because these are the things that separate real estate websites that get leads from those that don’t.

Let’s begin!
How likely are you to revisit a website you’ve never been to before? For most of us, we don’t go back to nearly 96% of the websites we find. That means our site has to capture as many leads as possible, or we’ll miss out on a ton of leads. Most people won’t find their way back to our site, so we have to capture them while they are there.
Here’s a quick demo video on how to capture leads from your website in under 5 minutes!
What you see in that video is a way to get popups in front of your new website visitors. Check it out if your website currently only has lead capture devices that look like this:
At Easy Agent Pro, we have a sidebar and popups. On any given day, the sidebar will pull in 5% of our emails. And the popups will pull in 50% of our emails.
Popups are a really great way to build the lead capture ability of your real estate website! Have you experimented with them? Comment below and let me know how it worked for you!
With people having access to tons of (false) information on Zillow and Trulia, there becomes less of a need for IDX on your website for new users. Sure, we want it there for your people who already know you and trust you. They’ll use your website and love it. But the only way to make your website different than those big brands is by having you all over it.
Are you helpful? Do people love your advice? Great! Your blog is a great way to show that off. If you don’t currently have one, I really recommend you make moves to get one asap.
If you’re more of a DIY’er, I teach you how to setup a real estate blog in under 5 minutes here:
Either way, you need a real estate blog today! It’s the best way I’ve seen to get a steady stream of incoming leads in a way that is sustainable.
Most websites confuse visitors. For example, do you clearly state what you do and why visitors should contact you within the first 2 seconds of people being on your site? This isn’t a place for catch phrases or ideological statements about your business. People need to know what you do and need to feel like they are in the right place.
Secondly, don’t change page names away from the standard names. People spend 99.999% of their time on other websites (that stats made up…but you get the point). If you want to be successful online, take the cues from websites that have huge budgets for split testings. They’ve figured out what works. So copy them.
For example, go read our post called: “How to steal leads from Trulia“. That post talks about how we can literally steal Trulia’s landing page, ad, and sales copy in order to generate more leads. You don’t need to start from point zero when building your website. Find a website that is successful. And do what they do.
Look at Trulia’s header. Does your website use the same names for pages as their’s does? If not, I guarantee you’ll get better results should you switch.
Most real estate websites I look at on a daily basis are not mobile optimized. If you have a non-mobile optimized site, click that “Ask me anything” button on the screen and shoot me an email. I really want to hear from you.
Anyway, 27% of the traffic to Easy Agent Pro is from mobile devices. That means my site needs to work on an iPhone, Android, and Windows phone just as much as it needs to work on a PC. This is not debatable in 2015. You’re really going to miss out on tons of leads should you not have a mobile real estate website.
Want a pro tip? Those pop-ups I showed you above convert INSANELY high on mobile devices. I don’t know why. But if you put those popups on a site that gets mobile traffic, you won’t know what to do with all the leads…
