So, there are two routes to make your real estate brochure stellar. 

Option one: Have a local designer make you template to use for your listings and buyers. Typical cost: $250-500

Option two: Use a pre-designed template and have it customized through an outsourcing website: Typical cost: $5-15

Obviously, option two is a lot more cost effective. And in my experience can yield better design results.

But the first thing you’ll need is a real estate brochure template that matches your brand.  I’m going to outline 7 options for you when it comes to finding a template. Then, we’ll talk about places to get this templates altered with your branding.

Now that you have some professional design ideas (or have purchased one of those templates) you need to customize it.

There are a few options for customizing your brochure.

Fiverr – The Worlds Cheapest Design Studio

You can get some decent graphic work done on Fiverr for rather low prices.

Here’s how it works:

You’ll want to login and create a profile.

Next, search for brochures:

You’ll be able to find various gigs that will take your template you found above and customize it.

They’ll typically use a computer program like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.

You might need them to make it easy for you to change text out. If you want this, make sure they send over a PDF version for you to easily edit. Or make sure they’ll be around to edit text for you.

These two computer programs are a bit intense, but you could try editing textual elements yourself if you have a copy of the program.

Second Choice? Try Craigslist:

You are sure to find some college students on Craigslist looking for design work. They will already know Illustrator and Photoshop. And will definitely be able to get your template edited for you.

To find people on Craigslist, simply post a job in the art / media / design category.

You should pay anywhere from $10-20 per hour for this type of work. It will probably take 2-4 hours to customize a template and can take a lot more time than that if you are looking to have them do heavy design work.

Where to get your real estate brochure printed?

Once you have the design process competed for your real estate brochure, it’s time to print it.

While there are decent office printers, I highly recommend you spring for a glossy finish to your print out.

Think about it:

When’s the last time a car dealership sent out a promotional brochure that wasn’t printed on glossy paper?

And it’s actually not that expensive to use this upgrade. You can easily find unconventional printers like Walgreens and Walmart running inexpensive specials through their photo department.

Here’s a good process I use:

You can either upload your file as a print or a poster. And get versions of it printed out on high quality paper for under $.50 per copy. This is an incredibly cheap and fast way to get your real estate brochure printed.

You can create a template via your real estate virtual assistant, Fiverr, or Craigslist. Then edit the template with your newest listings details. Finally, head over to the local photo department and get your design printed.

These services give you higher quality printing that the “at home or office” variety. And really help you stand out!
