3 Terrible Real Estate Emails, And How To Fix Them With This Free Template

Do your emails sell?

or does your Inbox look like this…

Here’s the thing:

Most agents send terrible emails.

And I should know…I get emails from a ton of real estate agents.

(I’m a sucker for signing up on agent’s sites…)

But it’s not your fault!

Most agent’s simply don’t know they aren’t getting results because of their emails.

And this is a HUGE problem because:

  • 75+% of the leads you’re getting aren’t ready to buy now.
  • The BEST way to keep them in “your loop” is with email.

So:

  1. I’m going to break down three emails from actual real estate agents to help you out.
  2. My friend, Nev, who is one of the BEST professional copywriters out there was nice enough to give us his favorite email formula. He charges thousands of dollars for his personal consulting but I’m going to share his exact template with you today – for FREE.

(Click here if you just want the free template…and don’t want to see my teardowns.)

…let’s get into this:

::: #1 REAL ESTATE E-MAILS :::

real estate emailsFirst off, I’ve just signed up on your website. And am super excited about what you’re going to send me.

But then I get this email… 🙁

What on earth is a listing? SERIOUSLY. I know we as agents talk about listings. But remove this word from your email vocabulary when talking with potential clients.

This is going to be their “Dream Home.” They have ZERO interest in listings.

Other notes:

  • Why is your picture bigger than the listings? I’m not buying you. I’m buying a property.
  • You’ll see in our writeups below a more personal tone for the message
  • Only one property is included? Why did you email me?

::: #2 REAL ESTATE E-MAILS :::

Ok, this is a slightly better example of what your emails should look like.

But there is one HUGE problem. It doesn’t give value; it only takes value!

Matt said “We” over 16 times. Just look at that subject line! “We have started something”…

Matt I want to learn what YOU can do for ME.

NOT what I can do for YOU.

(read that again…)

Our re-write below fixes this otherwise GREAT email!

So, What Should You Send?

…and your free cheatsheet…

Well…

(Read more about Nev here)

His basic advice is that

Your Emails Need To “Give To Get”

And it can sometimes be hard to write in that mentality.

So, here’s the cheatsheet Nev uses to write better emails (Click for your fill in the blank guide):

This template makes it really easy to write better emails!

…let me show you how easy “fill in the blank” emails can be:

— Re-write Matt’s email with this template —

Do you see how easy that was?

And how much better your emails sound?

Email is one of the best ways to turn your website visitors into clients.

So, what I recommend is setting up your website to deposit leads into a newsletter & CRM.

For example, here’s the backend of LeadSites:

All 10 of our custom lead capture apps can deposit directly into MailChimp and your favorite CRM.

Then, you can use our email template in both your marketing & sales to effectively turn that lead into a client.
