This was a big one for me to learn…but you are never starting from ground zero. You have relationships from the past. These people can give testimonials to your character and work ethic. When starting, this is a lot better than having nothing. A few of these added into your listing presentation can really help you get more contracts.
Ask those people for testimonials from every job, volunteer event, or group you’ve ever been apart of. I recommend not just having these people email you a review, but also asking them to post it on websites like Google Places and Yelp.
These two places get high visibility in local search results so it will help your reach.
Sometimes, testimonials about your character aren’t good enough to seal the deal. So, here’s a cool method you can use to build trust:

You want to associate yourself with the successful Realtors in your area, state, and across the country.
If a client is hard to close because they don’t trust your expertise, bring in an agent that is an expert in the market to help you close the contract. Sure, that means giving up some of the money. But it’s a great way to build your credibility at first.
There are a lot of things to learn in real estate. And working this those that have already made it is a great way to learn even faster.

The secret to getting big in any market is simple. Work with those who are also big.

When you’re just starting out, this phrase can really help. You can point to the fact that “You’ll try harder to get the house sold because this is your first listing.”
