5 Real Estate Marketing Ideas You Can Do On Your Phone While Walking To Starbucks

Ever sit there staring at your phone while waiting for a client?

I almost guarantee you have. In fact, I did that same thing just this morning while waiting to shoot this new YouTube video. I got out my cell phone…stared at it…and the next thing I know 15-25 minutes were gone.

Now, random Candy Crush phone breaks are nice. But what if you used that 15 minutes to build your business instead? I guarantee you that you’d feel a lot more accomplished at the end of the week.

So today, I’ve gone ahead and broken down 5 real estate marketing ideas that you can easily accomplish on your mobile phone. These work on both Android and Apple.

Best of all, these tactics can be used daily. They aren’t one-off hacks to generate more leads in the moment…these are concrete business building tactics that can help grow your company.

Hopefully this helps you turn more of that Zombie Phone time into useful lead generation time. I know my phone has been a much more useful marketing tool since writing this blog post and making the video.

#1) Quora’s App

This is a tip that I’ve kept from writing about for sometime now. I haven’t wanted to talk about it much simply because I think the majority of agents need to work harder at using Google and Facebook better. Most of you aren’t using those platforms to their fullest potential.

That being said, a quick marketing tactic is to download Quora’s app and look at the questions in your area.

You’ll most likely find a question related to moving, relocating, neighborhoods, or real estate. Here’s one for example:

These questions are great for exposure to potential buyers and sellers in your area. You’ll need to keep your response informative and not sales related. But after 10-15 responses to questions like this on Quora, you should see a noticeable spike in the number of people seeing your Quora profile and reaching out to you.

If you have 15 minutes, it might be worth it for you to write a quick 300-400 word reply to a common question on Quora. Unlike blogging where you have to promote your blog after you publish it, Quora does the promotion for you. You simply write your answer. And Quora shows it to people in their feed.

It’s a quick and easy win for agents on the go.

#2) YouTube’s Instant Video Feature

Video marketing is exploding in 2016. It’s never been easier to create, upload, and share videos with everyone. And the social networks are promoting this.

We’re seeing a video post on Facebook get over 2-3X more organic reach than a link based post. And the same goes for YouTube. It’s a lot easier to get views on a YouTube video if you properly rank it for a YouTube search word than it is for you to get people to your website from Google.

But how do you make video with just your phone?

The new YouTube app lets you record video and upload it straight from you phone! Are you waiting at an open house? You can record a video overview of the community straight from your phone. Are you waiting for a client to show up for a meeting? Answer a common question you get on video and post it instantly!

This makes video marketing on YouTube a lot easier for most of you. You don’t have to worry about fancy cameras, editing software, and uploading the correct file type. Simply turn on the app and be helpful. Here’s how it works:

#3) Facebook Groups

Tip #3 is a really easy way for you to gain exposure and generate visitors to your website in seconds. On Facebook, there are numerous groups in your area where people post things on a daily basis. These groups range from being about events, moving sales, and other niche meet ups.

The cool aspect for agents is that you can join these groups and post helpful things in them. For example, did you make a helpful video like I talked about in step #2? Great! Post it in a group that makes sense. Do you have helpful blog articles on your website? Awesome! Post them in an appropriate group.

Groups give you instant access to thousands of people who might never have found your website otherwise.

#4) Facebook Pages App Boosted Post

Another way to get results from your phone is with Facebook’s pages app. This app lets you boost your posts to your Facebook page with just 2 clicks.
