Take Back Your Weekends And Evenings While Not Missing Leads [A 5 Minute Fix]
Afraid of missing out on leads? This post will eliminate your FOMO and help you land more qualified leads today. What are you waiting for? Let's go!
Are you afraid of missing out on leads? No one wants to hear the story of the lead that got away so today we’re going to talk all about the one tweak we did to our instant lead reply system that got us 20% more meetings and saved us time.
Here’s how it started…
Easy Agent Pro did something interesting last week.
We sent out this text to every new lead:
Hi Tyler! Glad you’re interested in LeadSites. Ready to talk now? 800-327-6623 Not free? Click here to book a 1-on-1 demo: https://calendly.com/leadsites/book?utm_source=sms
Over a 20% boost in auto booked demos. Plus, we got a ton of responses and fresh calls into Easy Agent Pro.
The reason we did this is to empower our leads to help themselves.
We’re living in a self-service generation. And with this comes the need for instant responsiveness. Think about the most successful brands at this moment.
These are just a few of the major companies employing this self-service first model of doing business and blowing competitors out of the water. They have a lot in common. They’re completely convenient and totally on-demand.
Your leads want to have control over their customer service experience and that means doing things on their time.
It doesn’t matter if you’re in the middle of a bedtime story with your kids, at lunch with your spouse, or showing a house. Your leads expect answers. And fast.
That’s what they want. That’s why they don’t pick up the phone when you call 3 hours later.
There are two solid ways you can ensure that your leads get the best, and fastest, experience possible. But first, let’s talk about FOMO – The Fear of Missing Out.
You may remember reading this post last year: If you value your real estate career at all, make this one change to your followup system. Where we introduced the “The Quit Window.”
The top agents over the next 10 years will win simply by winning “The Quit Window” battle.
It’s that 8 seconds you have when your new leads actually remember…
If this stat is true (it is) then why do so many of us have FOMO? The truth about FOMO is that it can often lead us to making crappy decisions. As an agent, you are juggling a ridiculous amount of activities and projects in a single day. This often results in many of us trying to do all of the things and instead getting little to nothing done.
The worst part of this is that those precious leads can start to slip through the cracks, especially now that you know what The Quit Window looks like.
Your FOMO is actually costing you leads.
We won’t be able to fully cure your FOMO today, but there are two very real solutions to provide your leads with the self-service experience they crave as well and the instant responsiveness needed to make it happen.
Plus, if you follow through with this you’ll also be that must closer to reclaiming your evenings and weekends.
The first way you can try and eliminate FOMO is by using Zapier. Lead forms integrate with Zapier and Twilio to automate your business.
Here’s how it works.
Connect your CRM to Twilio. From there, you can start your free trial on Zapier and create Zaps to manage and automate your communication between web apps.
Hit “Create this Zap” to get started.
You can then start adding your triggers. This is a good way to keep track of communication. Each time a new text comes through, it will automatically be added to a Google sheet so you can make sure to answer each and every text by end of day. Although you may miss the quit window, at least you’ll be improving your response time.
There are multiple Zaps you can create to further organize and facilitate your contact with leads.
Typeform can also be beneficial for keeping up with leads. You can create landing pages and then sync them to Zapier. Every time someone requests info or opts in, you can set up a trigger to let you know so you can follow up right away.
Zapier is a super cool tool, as are Twilio, Typeform and all the other awesome apps and platforms that can be connected.
Sounds pretty good, right?
What if you didn’t have to connect all these different sites and navigate between hosts to followup with leads as quickly as possible? Wouldn’t it be great if all these tools lived in the same place?
Yeah, we thought so too.
Enter LeadSites and Calendly.
Let’s start with Calendly because everything else is going to be done on your LeadSite. Sign up with Calendly if you haven’t already. It’s a great tool for setting up all kinds of appointments. Keep this open because you’re going to include a link to your scheduling page in the text message you send.
Now, head to the backend of your LeadSite.
In your dashboard, you’ll see a bunch of fun apps. Find the Texty app and click on it.
Right after someone opts in on your website, Texty will automatically send you a message to let you know that you have a new lead. Even better? It will also send a message to your lead to get the conversation started!
Whether you’re with a client, or your family, now you don’t have to worry about missing the chance to start talking with a lead. Texty will instantly start a conversation with every lead for you, so you can stay focused during your day.
Feel free to play around in the app and when you feel comfortable go ahead and move into a new Squeeze page.
We’re going to create a Squeeze page with a custom text associated with it. Then, when a lead opts-in, they’ll get your message automatically and you will also get notified of the conversation.
This way, it doesn’t matter when your leads makes contact. The important thing is that it’ll be on their time and you’ll be ready.
So, select a new Squeeze Page, or you can add Texty to any current Squeeze Pages you have setup. You’ll then click on the Texty icon in the bottom left corner.
Type in the text (feel free to use something similar as the one we sent) and then select if you want to Send Messages and/or Receive Notifications.
And you’re done. The Easy Way setup will literally take you 5 minutes or less to complete. In this small amount of time you’ve solved a multitude of problems for yourself and for your leads.
Now you’re also well on your way to taking your evenings and weekends back. Although your lead is guiding their own customer service experience, you are still able to set your own schedule and terms through Calendly. If you don’t want to set appointments on Sunday mornings or during the times you drop off or pickup the kids from school, you can decide to mark those times as unavailable. Then, your lead can choose what works best from them based on your schedule.
Let us know which option you decide to try out!
