Amy Porterfield conducts the interview in which Godin advocates serving a niche, something we absolutely believe in.

Niching down is frightening, yes. But aiming for “safe” is worse. “ . . most people have been seduced and tricked into believing a couple things,” Godin said. These include:

• You can serve the whole world. “You can’t, no one can.”
• Being a mass marketer is what you’re supposed to be. “Nah, not really.”
• The safest thing to do is to be big. “Every important brand … Nike, Starbucks, Airbnb, Google … started by serving a tiny group of people.”

If you’re not a fan of Gary Vee you may just like this video. In it, he is sitting down with Reno, Nevada mortgage brokers, investors and brothers Neel Dhingra and Arjun Dhingra.

Filmed “backstage at the Agent 2021 Conference in Miami, FL,” you’ll enjoy a quieter, slower Vaynerchuck who mostly stays on topic.

But, do stop watching at 9:35 because in typical Gary Vee fashion, he goes off into “me” land and all real estate talk ceases.

Dr. Wayne Dyer on 5 Lessons to Live By

“Nobody ever dies from a snake bite,” says the brilliant Dr. Wayne Dyer. “But it’s the venom that continues to pour through your system, AFTER the bite, that will end up destroying you.”

Dyer is so easy to listen to (the tinkly piano music in the background doesn’t hurt) in this video that runs a smidge more than 11 minutes.

And, these lessons are basic, but sometimes we need to be gently yanked back to the basics to change our outlook.
