When it comes to social media, agents are often asking, “How do I get more engagement on these platforms?”
And that’s a legitimate concern!
You spend a lot of time and money getting people to like your Facebook Page, follow you on Twitter, and connect on LinkedIn.
YET:
You are only as good as your last post on these networks! Because they increasingly will not show your content to the people that are connected with you if you aren’t getting engaged with.

Pro Tips:
When it comes to social, I recommend the following advice:
- 10 Tweets per day – Make sure at least 8 of these Tweets are of other peoples content. I’m sure you’ve been frustrated on Twitter because it’s hard to be heard. Everyone has this same problem! If you help other people be heard by Retweeting their information, you’d be surprised at how many of them will share what you’ve created. Here’s a good example:

- 1 Facebook Post Per Day: Facebook is a tough one…They are getting increasingly stingy about who’s content they show on the timeline. Make sure you only post the highest quality content here.
- 2-3 LinkedIn Posts Per Day: LinkedIn is a major lead generation source for me. If you aren’t following all my LinkedIn lead gen tips, at least make sure you post there 2-3 times per day. You’ll love the traffic.
- 10+ Pinterests Pins Per Day: Pinterest is still a young network and you can get a lot of traffic by filling it up with quality images. I highly suggest investing early on and creating quality pins for followers to find.
