Your real estate brand is really the front lines of your business. You need it completed before you can do social media, your website, postcards, or anything really.  It’s hard to build up brand awareness if your image isn’t consistently the same.

This can be a big problem for Realtors who are already crunched for time as it is.

So, you’re probably thinking: “How does this solve my branding problem?”

As a Realtor, you simply host a competition and get to choose from over 100’s of design options. Plus, it has a very quick turn around time. I think most real estate logos are completed after a day. And then you can move onto picking out your real estate slogans.

I hosted a competition and then picked the best designs I liked. Finally, I sent them to my family and ran some Facebook ads to see which one other people liked the most.

What about my real estate name?

True! 99Designs does not solve how to come up with your real estate name. Typically, I recommend the formula of:

www.    Name + City + Real Estate Term   .com

It’s not going to give you something cute or creative. So if you want that, read this. But this type of name will work. And it’s very useful when it comes to immediate recognition of what you do as a business.

The second type of name I’d recommend is a nature=based name. Do you live near the mountains? Try a name with the words “Peak” or “Trail”.  For example, WindingTrailsRealty.com or NaturesPeakRealty.com.

If you live near the ocean, you could try works based around the water.  Whatever you choose, be sure to make it hyper-local. You want to choose a name that helps people recognize you as a Realtor NEAR them.

How to make the decision:

Take time to carefully consider your name and how you want it to look on your business cards, website, and more. But also keep in mind that this is just the beginning.

Honestly, it’s not the name that matters, but what you do with it.

• Do you help people through blogs on your website?
• Have you posted on social media to get tons of traffic to view your posts?
• Are you prospecting to get leads daily?

These are the things that will get and grow your business. Choose a name and then focus on building that name into an awesome brand!
